Robotics: Science and Systems Test of Time Award
Congratulations to HMI CI Hanna Kurniawati and her co-writers David Hsu and Wee Sun Lee (NUS) on being awarded this years RSS Test of Time Award! This award is given to the most significant papers published at RSS from 10 or more years ago. Kurniawati, Hsu and Lee are being recognised for their groundbreaking 2008 paper SARSOP: Efficient Point-Based POMDP Planning by Approximating Optimally Reachable Belief Spaces. This paper develops an effective algorithm to help robots make better decisions.
