DisAssemble is a newsletter for design theorists and practitioners. The newsletter is curated and distributed by Vikram Singh. Singh interviewed Jenny about her new book, "How Artifacts Afford: The Power and Politics of Everyday Things." The interview will be presented in two parts. The first iteration focused on defining "affordance" and situating the concept in its intellectual history. The interview also addressed key critiques of affordance as a concept, and the need for its reworking into an operational model, which is the premise of the book.
