Dr. Chelle Adamson is a neuroscientist and technologist with a deep understanding of how society and technology interact. She has extensive experience in creating high functioning interdisciplinary teams, taking technology to impact, and providing input into federal policy. Previously, Chelle was responsible for a $20M portfolio of technology programs and accounts as commonwealth business development lead for CSIRO Data61, driving funding for cutting edge ICT R&D that solve market challenges. Chelle is the Chief Operating Officer for the Humanising Machine Intelligence (HMI) Grand Challenge at the Australian National University guiding operations and strategy for the interdisciplinary team creating fundamental research in moral machine intelligence. Chelle is also on the ‘100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics 2021’ global list and is co-chair for the Homeward Bound Fundraising Committee.
