“Humane capabilities and virtues are more important than ever in an era of machine intelligence, as the ethical challenges that AI and autonomous systems generate will place new and increasingly complex demands on human moral wisdom. The HMI Project explores fundamental questions about how to shape a future in which humans and machines don’t compete in a zero-sum game, but instead inform and strengthen one another, in the long-term interest of human and planetary flourishing.”
