In this QuantumBlack Australia virtual Meetup, the ethics of artificial intelligence was discussed with the Gradient Institute and HMI. The session began with a practical presentation on important pitfalls to navigate around bias and fairness in data science and practical ways to overcome them. This was followed by a panel of experts approaching the problem of AI ethics from different angles, philosophical, business, and legal.
The speaker panel consisted of Gradient Institute’s Tiberio Caetano, Kimberlee Weatherall, Seth Lazar and QuantumBlack’s Nic Hohn.
