Jennyfer Lawrence Taylor

Jennyfer Lawrence Taylor is a Lecturer in Human-Computer Interaction at the ANU Research School of Computer Science. Her doctoral research has involved the collaborative design of tangible and social technologies to support the everyday use of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages. 

Her current research interests include collaborative technology design for language revitalisation, co-design and public engagement with AI, postcolonial computing, and technology design for sustainable and ethical living practices. 

Jennyfer has previously completed a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Information Technology at the Australian National University, majoring in anthropology and information systems, and a Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) at Queensland University of Technology. She has been involved with teaching and learning in computer science since 2013, and achieved recognition as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in 2019. She has also completed a Certificate IV in Government, and previously worked in the public sector for a number of years. 

Jennyfer embraces transdisciplinary thinking, and sees collaborative technology design approaches, and public engagement with science, as vital for creating intelligent systems that can help us to change for the better.
