2020 Science Fictions and Popular Cultures Academic Conference: HawaiiCon

Claire Benn joined the Hawai’i 2020 panel 'Black Mirror as Philosophy' to discuss her chapter ‘Playtest and the Power of Virtual Reality: Are Our Fears Real?’, part of the recently released Black Mirror and Philosophy: Dark Reflections book. Joining Claire on the panel was Kyle David Johnson, Gregory Littmann, Robert Price, George Dunn, David Gamez and Bertha Manninen.

SCIENCE FICTIONS, POPULAR CULTURES is a scholarly academic conference which runs in conjunction with HawaiiCon. Science fictions, Popular Cultures seeks to both defy and redefine how the academy views science fiction and popular culture—and the research, scholarship and creative endeavors of those working across these fields. An academic, peer-reviewed and refereed Conference Proceedings will be published in conjunction with the event.
